The Shift Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Program Manager with the daily operational management of the Community Treatment Residence (CTR) program. This position is responsible for overseeing all shift activities and providing direct supervision to the Residential Counselors during their assigned shifts.


Plummer Youth Promise provides various residential services for youth aged 13 to 22. One of these services is the Community Treatment Residence, where young individuals focus on reconnecting with family, acquiring essential life skills, and engaging with the community. This supportive living environment offers stability, enabling young residents to address trauma and build self-confidence. Our Intervention Model emphasizes family engagement, skill development, and community integration for each resident.


Shift Schedule:

The Shift Supervisor is expected to work the following shifts: Thursday 3-11pm, Friday 3-11pm, & Saturday 7am-11pm.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and oversee all shift operations and responsibilities for the CTR Program while on duty.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the program during each shift.
  • Ensure adherence to all approved program policies and procedures throughout the shift.
  • Utilize Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques to maintain a safe program environment.
  • Promote Collaborative Problem Solving practices among Residential Counselors consistently.
  • Engage residents through Collaborative Problem Solving during each shift.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing ratios are maintained, guaranteeing the safety and supervision of youth.
  • Assist in managing the therapeutic environment, addressing programming concerns, and adhering to the established schedule.
  • Complete daily communication logs, client progress notes, and incident reports according to program standards at the end of each shift.
  • Accurately document progress notes in the internal database for all direct interactions with residents.
  • Ensure residents receive prescribed medications following established procedures.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to medication administration during each shift.
  • Assist in coordinating resident intakes and discharges as directed by the Clinical Director.
  • Monitor and evaluate the management of program funds, including petty cash and activity funds.
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency on-call rotation.
  • Engage in monthly staff meetings and all scheduled training sessions.
  • Support the training of newly hired staff members.
  • Actively participate in all monthly leadership meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field (preferred).
  • Experience in a residential program setting.

  • Current Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification.
