Position Overview:
The TGH Senior Youth Care Supervisor will act as a vital and knowledgeable support for all residential specialists, ensuring high-quality service delivery to all TGH residents and guests.

This leadership role encompasses direct care responsibilities as needed, while placing significant emphasis on the effective and efficient performance of Youth Care Workers in their daily tasks.

The Senior Supervisor will consistently exemplify kindness, dignity, respect, and the core values of HopeTree Family Services, alongside maintaining professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:
The Lead will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the daily activity schedule, supporting the operational flow of TGH, and fostering a safe and welcoming environment.

Under the guidance of the TGH Program Manager, the Senior Supervisor will assist in communicating any agency or program changes to all staff members.

Qualifications:
Education:
This position necessitates a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Human Services field, with at least six (6) months of experience working with youth and adolescents, or a Master's Degree in a related field with the same experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience is highly favored, along with QMHP-C certification through the Virginia Counseling Board. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

Work Schedule:
This role is structured for a 40-hour workweek (between 9 am and 9 pm) and may require additional hours or varied shifts due to staff absences, vacations, or open positions to ensure operational coverage. Adjustments to the schedule may be mandatory at times, and a monthly on-call and weekend coverage schedule is required (typically every other weekend). When covering weekends, compensatory days off will be provided during the week.

Essential Duties:
• Oversee daily operations of cottages, ensuring adequate staff and shift coverage, which may necessitate extended hours or schedule adjustments.
• Foster respectful communication and team cohesion among Youth Care Workers across shifts, ensuring part-time and overnight shifts are engaged with program activities.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in the cottages for both residents and staff, ensuring that housekeeping tasks are completed during shifts.
• Ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures through modeling, coaching, teaching, and assisting.
• Provide crisis intervention support, respond to emergencies, and take necessary actions, including contacting emergency response systems while adhering to harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles.
• Ensure timely and thorough completion of behavior tracking charts, progress notes, and SIRs during each shift.
• Participate in promoting health and safety through medication administration assistance, audits, and attending necessary medical appointments as assigned by the Manager; document changes in medical conditions and communicate any medical needs or services rendered.
• Train new hires and provide ongoing training to current Youth Care Workers.
