Position Overview:
The TGH Lead Youth Care Worker will act as a vital resource for all residential specialists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to all residents and guests.

Leadership Responsibilities:
This role encompasses direct care responsibilities as needed, while primarily focusing on guiding Youth Care Workers in their daily tasks to ensure effective and efficient operations.

The Lead will exemplify and promote kindness, dignity, respect, and the core values of HopeTree Family Services, alongside maintaining professional standards.

Key Duties:
The Lead will play a crucial role in developing and executing the daily activity schedule, supporting the overall functioning of TGH, and fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

Under the guidance of the TGH Program Manager, the Lead will assist in communicating any agency or program updates to all staff members.

Qualifications:
Education:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Human Services field, with at least six (6) months of experience working with youth and adolescents, or a Master's Degree in a related field with similar experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience and QMHP-C certification are strongly preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

Work Schedule:
This role entails a 40-hour workweek, typically scheduled between 9 am and 9 pm, with the possibility of additional hours or shifts as necessary to cover staff absences. A monthly on-call and weekend coverage schedule is required.

Essential Job Functions:
• Oversee daily operations of residential cottages, ensuring adequate staff coverage.
• Foster respectful communication and teamwork among Youth Care Workers across shifts.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures through modeling and coaching.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency response as needed, focusing on harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles.
• Ensure timely and thorough completion of behavior tracking charts, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Support health and safety initiatives, including medication administration and medical appointments.
• Train new hires and provide ongoing training for current staff.

• Driver's License (Required)
