General Statement of Duties
The Forsyth County Department of Public Health is in search of an Administrative Office Supervisor to lead a team of office assistants in the Registration and Data Entry within Public Health Clinics. This role involves providing administrative oversight and support to staff members. The Administrative Office Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, training, assigning tasks, supervising, and evaluating the performance of team members. This position will also oversee contractors and volunteers engaged in registration activities. A strong understanding of Electronic Medical Records Systems is essential, as the supervisor will be the go-to resource for resolving inquiries and troubleshooting issues faced by the registration team. Additionally, this role will act as the primary contact for addressing internal billing discrepancies arising from the patient registration process.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, with flexibility to work on Thursdays from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. The selected candidate should be adaptable to changes in the work schedule due to staffing needs.

- Capability to plan, delegate, and assess the work of others;
- Judicious in applying and interpreting policies and procedures;
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
Minimum Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of office assistant or clerical experience. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Higher education may substitute for some or all experience requirements. A valid driver's license is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organizing work schedules and job assignments for the unit.
- Overseeing workflow, assisting with registration and customer service.
- Developing unit workflow processes, policies, and procedures.
- Conducting supervisory duties for 4 full-time Office Assistants and 2 full-time Senior Office Assistants, including planning schedules, assigning workstations, providing training, facilitating regular staff meetings, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with strategic planning initiatives.
- Performing related duties as necessary.
