Job Overview

We are currently seeking an Electrical Construction Coordinator specializing in Electrical Transmission & Distribution. This role is crucial for planning and overseeing construction activities for specific projects, ensuring that objectives are met within the established timelines and budgetary limits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety compliance at all times by monitoring site activities and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Engage in pre-construction planning, including reviewing drawings and conducting site inspections to verify that all necessary permits and plans are in place.
  • During construction, monitor adherence to safety and environmental standards, and ensure that the project aligns with specifications and permits.
  • Communicate effectively with construction teams and project managers to address any queries that may arise during the construction process.
  • Identify material requirements and coordinate with the client’s Construction Manager to procure necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate Daily Log Reports to track project progress, safety incidents, and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform additional duties as needed, including maintaining construction drawing updates and conducting safety audits.
  • Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as required.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction or maintenance.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer drug and alcohol test in compliance with federal regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Experience in Commercial or Industrial Transmission & Distribution projects.
  • Familiarity with construction prints and drawings, preferably with a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical construction.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification and MEA-specific training are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, with travel and lodging expenses reimbursed.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for site visits.
