Position Overview:
Automotive Sales Consultant

Reporting To:
Sales Manager

Role Summary:
The Automotive Sales Consultant is primarily accountable for the sale of vehicles while achieving gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction targets. A professional appearance is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess each customer's vehicle requirements by posing relevant questions and actively listening to their responses.
2. Showcase vehicles through demonstrations, including conducting test drives.
3. Introduce new customers to the Service department and relevant personnel.
4. Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they comprehend the vehicle's features, warranty, and maintenance schedule, thereby fostering customer loyalty.
5. Maintain a follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business, enhancing customer satisfaction.
6. Stay updated on new products, features, accessories, and their advantages for customers.
7. Review monthly goals, weekly activities, and daily plans with the Sales Manager.

8. Understand automotive terminology, stay informed about technological advancements in products, and effectively communicate this to customers.


9. Report any damage to vehicles or issues with inventory to the Sales Manager without delay.
10. Be knowledgeable about federal, state, and local regulations governing retail auto sales.
11. Complete all required training as directed by management.
12. Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
13. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
Special Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet minimum sales quotas as per facility standards. Proficiency in personal computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software. Must possess a valid driver's license.
