Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge to effectively complete painting tasks.
  • Adhere to all relevant company policies and legal standards regarding vehicle repairs.
  • Assess the scope of work detailed in repair orders, alerting estimators to any unnecessary tasks or additional requirements.
  • Plan and execute efficient work processes using technical manuals and expertise in surface preparation and painting methods.
  • Ensure quality paint application within designated timeframes and material allowances, following established guidelines.
  • Utilize protective equipment to maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Operate lifting and moving equipment to handle materials and access work areas.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary chemical treatments.
  • Mask and cover areas not intended for painting, removing components such as chrome, mirrors, and windshield wipers as needed.
  • Mix and adjust paint or other coatings to achieve the required color and consistency based on standard formulas or color charts.
  • Apply specified layers of primer, protective, decorative, or finishing coatings, including paint, lacquer, sealer, or enamel, to prepared surfaces.
Qualifications
  • Experience or education in paint repair.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of and compliance with safety regulations and workplace procedures.
  • A positive attitude and energetic personality.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions.
  • Strong judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
