Role Summary: The Automotive Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in the dealership by facilitating vehicle sales while achieving gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction benchmarks. A professional demeanor is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess each customer's vehicle requirements through targeted inquiries and attentive listening.
  • Showcase vehicles through demonstrations, including conducting test drives.
  • Effectively introduce new clients to the Service department and relevant personnel.
  • Deliver vehicles to clients, ensuring they comprehend the vehicle's operational features, warranty, and maintenance schedule, thereby fostering customer loyalty.
  • Maintain a follow-up system to encourage repeat business and referrals, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on new products, features, accessories, and their advantages for customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to review monthly goals, weekly activities, and daily plans.
  • Understand automotive terminology, keep abreast of technological advancements, and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Report any damage to vehicles or issues immediately to the Sales Manager.
  • Be knowledgeable about federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automobile sales.
  • Complete all required training as directed by management.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Must meet minimum sales quotas as per facility standards. Proficient in personal computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software. A valid driver's license is required.
