Key Details for the Educational Support Personal Care Assistant:

  • Compensation of $22 per hour in a classroom environment
    • Transportation and mandatory training sessions compensated at $18 per hour
  • Work directly with children who have physical or mental disabilities on a one-on-one basis, ranging from ages 4 to 21
    • Support for autism, emotional challenges, multiple disabilities, behavioral issues, etc.
  • Assignments available for grades K through 12; Monday to Friday daytime shifts (hours vary by case)
    • Unpaid time off during holidays, weekends, snow days, vacations, and summer breaks
    • Additional opportunities may include summer camps, in-home support, group homes, and personal care facilities
  • Benefits Offered: accrued paid time off, referral bonuses up to $500, recognition programs, weekly pay, direct deposit, and access to free educational courses

Responsibilities of the Educational Support Personal Care Assistant:

  • Adhere to school policies and procedures
  • Assist students in maintaining focus during classroom activities
  • Provide redirection as necessary to manage disruptions
  • Support with personal care tasks, including bathroom assistance when required
  • Ensure the safety of the child and others in the environment
  • Communicate observations or concerns to the Interim supervisor

Minimum Qualifications for the Educational Support Personal Care Assistant:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least six (6) months of experience in a related field, such as behavioral health or pediatrics
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings
