Position Summary
New Story is currently seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide education and mentorship to our emotional support students. In this role, you will be essential to the success of our students, guiding the classroom team and managing the dynamics of all staff members within your classroom.
- Oversee the individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, which includes IEP development, collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, and the preparation of necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to design and implement suitable services.
- Offer guidance, leadership, and direction to classroom staff.
- Ensure student confidentiality in accordance with agency policies, including FERPA and HIPAA regulations.

Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with children with behavioral or learning disorders (student teaching hours are acceptable).
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education.
Licenses & Certifications
- PA Teacher License required.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in Student Information Systems.
- Experience in Lesson Plan Development.
- Strong Classroom Management skills.
