Job Summary

MIRACORP Inc. is a veteran, woman-owned firm specializing in federal government contract services. We are seeking a highly skilled Education Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our training and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Course and Conference Support: Coordinate with department chairs, course managers, customer liaison officers, faculty, students, facility staff, and administrative staff to provide administrative functions in support of training events and conferences.
  • Student Data Management: Collect and maintain student demographic data, prepare and update rosters, statistical reports, and graphic presentations for faculty upon request.
  • Pre-Course Communication: Facilitate pre-course communication with students via email and Microsoft Teams, retrieve administrative information from Cornerstone (1) on Demand (CSOD), Microsoft Teams (DAU student information delivery systems), and/or DAU's SharePoint repository for dissemination.
  • Learning Space Preparation: Prepare learning spaces by arranging computer/audio/visual requirements, supplies, and materials, coordinate physical space layout to ensure a professional atmosphere, and ensure cleanliness and neatness of classrooms.
  • Material Distribution: Communicate with faculty and staff to ensure learning materials are properly prepared, available, and distributed to each participant for in-person events, or according to the schedule/agenda provided.
  • Technical Support: Support faculty and students by providing ad hoc technical assistance and instruction with local audio visual and computer equipment, log-on procedures for IT systems, protocol, local rules, and facilities maintenance.
  • Course Administration: Conduct end of course administration close out, including preparing MA certificates, final rosters, and learning space clean up.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Support DAU in coordinating required facilities maintenance issues related to MAT classrooms and common areas, such as trouble calls for broken audiovisual equipment, IT issues, HVAC, cleanliness, and other facilities.
  • Mission Assistance: Provide support and assistance to Mission Assistance (MA) efforts that are planned, coordinated, and/or executed by DAU faculty in the local area, coordinate Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) activities that support DAU engagement with the acquisition organizations at Naval Station Norfolk, and ensure effective support of these activities and make necessary prearrangements to support these engagements.
  • Logistics Support: Coordinate logistics and support to/for guest speakers/visitors as they support either DAU classroom instruction, MA efforts, or other CLO activities, coordinate with Regional Education Support Specialists for required paperwork, rosters, and other administrative documents required during DAU engagements (classes and MA).
  • Accommodations: Assist regional team and local team in identifying and providing reasonable accommodations for students with special needs as required.
  • Virtual Support: Provide virtual support to WEBINARS and other virtual events such as TED Talks.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Background: Must have a background in Learning & Development.
  • Security Clearance: Must be willing to participate in federal background investigation and drug test.
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience training in person and online training, 3+ years using Microsoft 365.
  • Communication Skills: Transparent communicator with superior written and oral communication skills.
