Job Summary

The Childrens Hospital of The Kings Daughters is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team in the Rheumatology department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to our licensed healthcare providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Support: Assist licensed healthcare providers with uncomplicated clinical services and tasks, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Facilitate Visit Process: Provide accurate and timely clinical and non-clinical information to facilitate the visit process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients.
  • Maintain a Clean Environment: Maintain the sterility and cleanliness of the environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Manage Supplies and Equipment: Ensure the maintenance of supplies, equipment, and instruments, ensuring they are always available and in good working order.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Support and perform clerical functions as needed, including data entry, filing, and other administrative duties.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants (MOA, MAA, MA) with one to two years of experience in a related healthcare field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration required. Current CPR certification also required.
Working Conditions

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment with moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities.
