Job Summary:


This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced IT professional to lead the Information Technology Services department at Rhode Island College. As Assistant Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the department.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with the Chief Information Officer to develop and implement the department's strategic plan
  • Lead the identification and development of project management office roles and team configurations
  • Develop and lead an agile practice to sustain a high-performing team
  • Accountable for building and maintaining agile-at-scale competency and talent strategy
  • Manage and participate in committees and working groups to support information technology initiatives
  • Supervise professional, classified, and student staff

Requirements:



  • Eight years of experience in information technology, with five years in a supervisory or management role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with large enterprise systems and project management skills
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and communicate strategic vision and inspire staff
