Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to partner with our EV and Microgrid Group and market leaders in developing and supporting positioning strategies with current and prospective EV Charging and Microgrid customers to win project work.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the positioning activities of the business development team
  • Participate in strategic business planning; develop strategic positioning plans for company and project pursuits to win work
  • Create and produce internal and external communications, marketing/branding/advertising materials, and presentations
  • Coordinate prequalification efforts with targeted customers and partners
  • Initiate customer feedback on proposals and presentations
  • Function as the liaison between business development, pre-construction, and marketing
  • Provide insight into market sectors; perform market trends analysis
Key Qualifications
  • Customer relationship building skills, with developed local/regional business knowledge and relationships
  • Confirmed knowledge and execution of successful marketing strategies
  • Advanced knowledge of North American EV + microgrid infrastructure market and the participants, specifically transportation organizations, developers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
  • Proficient in construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) delivery methods, specifically EV and microgrid design, equipment, and construction
  • Ability to visit project sites and/or review RFP requirements independently and communicate requirements, risks, and strategy to successfully win and execute the work
  • Detail orientation sufficient for data entry, reporting, financial projections for sales and selections, and market analysis
  • Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent CRM web application skills at an advanced level
  • Positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
  • Minimum 10 years prior industry-related energy, transportation, and/or commercial building experience
  • Current driver's license
  • Travel of up to 30% of time may be necessary to fulfill the objectives of the position
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
