Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Related Tasks
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate and efficient registration and credit card information.
- Utilize knowledge of hotel facilities and services to provide guests with information and recommendations.
- Assist concierge in providing guests with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
- Record and update guest registration and credit card information, verifying rate and departure information.
- Understand and maintain accurate room status, including late checkouts and early check-ins.
Communications Related Tasks
- Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Use hotel two-way radio systems, adhering to proper etiquette and protocols.
- Handle guest disputes and requests concerning room types and other room-related issues.
- Knowledge of hotel policies, including cancellation, pet, and no-show policies.
System Related Tasks
- Input guest information into the Opera system accurately and efficiently.
- Update the Opera system for any changes to the guest account, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process cash and credit transactions, adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
- Verify and update rate information and departure dates in the Opera system.
- Post miscellaneous charges to guest accounts as required.
- Count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of hotel software systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Pay rate: $18.00 per hour.
