Guest Related Tasks

  1. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Process guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate and efficient registration and credit card information.
  3. Utilize knowledge of hotel facilities and services to provide guests with information and recommendations.
  4. Assist concierge in providing guests with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
  5. Record and update guest registration and credit card information, verifying rate and departure information.
  6. Understand and maintain accurate room status, including late checkouts and early check-ins.

Communications Related Tasks

  1. Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  2. Use hotel two-way radio systems, adhering to proper etiquette and protocols.
  3. Handle guest disputes and requests concerning room types and other room-related issues.
  4. Knowledge of hotel policies, including cancellation, pet, and no-show policies.

System Related Tasks

  1. Input guest information into the Opera system accurately and efficiently.
  2. Update the Opera system for any changes to the guest account, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Process cash and credit transactions, adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
  4. Verify and update rate information and departure dates in the Opera system.
  5. Post miscellaneous charges to guest accounts as required.
  6. Count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of hotel software systems.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Pay rate: $18.00 per hour.
