Role Summary:

We are looking for a skilled blood collection specialist to participate in a research initiative aimed at enhancing the dietary habits of firefighters and reducing cancer risks. This position entails performing blood draws and body measurements primarily during morning hours, with a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute blood draws on participants involved in the study.
  • Conduct body measurements, including height, weight, and blood pressure.
  • Travel to designated training facilities as required.
  • Ensure precise data collection and documentation.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule to align with study needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a blood collection specialist with substantial experience in blood draws.
  • Expertise in performing body measurements.
  • Availability for flexible working hours, particularly in the mornings.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel to training locations.

*Work hours may vary between 10-20 hours per week, subject to discussion during the interview process.

  • Certification and Experience: The candidate must hold a valid certification and possess considerable experience in blood collection, especially in mobile or field environments.
  • Flexible Scheduling and Dependability: The specialist should be prepared to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the unique hours of firefighters. Dependability and punctuality are essential for timely sample collection.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The candidate should exhibit excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor to effectively engage with firefighters. They should be capable of working independently while maintaining a friendly and patient approach.
