The selected candidates will collaborate with a team of distinguished researchers in experimental neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and machine learning, striving to uncover algorithmic principles that connect artificial and natural intelligence, ultimately linking brains to intelligent systems.

The mission of our team is to explore the brain's intelligence mechanisms and develop smarter AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Train nonhuman primates to engage in behavioral tasks.
- Conduct research experiments involving nonhuman primates, gather data, and assess data quality.
- Document experimental outcomes and report findings to the team lead.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues on nonhuman primate projects and data collection.
- Mentor new staff members.
- Assist in the development and compliance of research protocols.

Regularly inspect and maintain laboratory equipment and facilities to uphold sanitation standards, ensuring the highest quality of animal care.

Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Coordinate with veterinary services to ensure the health and welfare of the animals.
Engage daily with nonhuman primates to support their routine and enrichment activities.

Assist in various aspects of surgical preparation and procedures, including organizing surgical tools and monitoring patient vitals.

Collaborate with veterinary staff to provide pre-operative and post-operative care for nonhuman primate patients.
Support veterinary staff with injections, medication administration, and anesthetic monitoring.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with experience in nonhuman primate research. Electrophysiology experience is preferred.

Education & Experience (Required):
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required):
- Fundamental understanding of scientific principles and the ability to apply knowledge effectively.
- Proven capability to utilize theoretical knowledge for problem-solving.
- Proficient in maintaining detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
- General computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new software and scientific applications.
- Ability to work under deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:


- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of objects over 40 pounds.

Occasional sitting, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder level.
Must have correctable vision to perform job duties.

Ability to work in a challenging environment, including exposure to dust and odors.


Working Conditions:
- May involve working near bloodborne pathogens and in environments where animals are utilized for research.

Tasks may require the use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing.

Extended or unusual work hours may be necessary based on research demands.
