Position Summary:

The Financial Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the executive leadership and business unit management by overseeing financial accounting, cash management, and corporate reporting functions. This position demands a high level of adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with stringent deadlines. Travel and unusual working hours may be part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations while managing a team of accounting professionals.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial closing process in line with corporate reporting timelines.
  • Generate monthly financial statements and reporting packages for local management and corporate headquarters, adhering to IFRS standards.
  • Manage treasury and cash management functions in close collaboration with the Corporate Treasury Department.
  • Enhance the efficiency of the Accounts Payable process utilizing the SAP AFI Application.
  • Coordinate with local auditors to facilitate the year-end audit process, ensuring compliance with IFRS requirements.
  • Provide strong leadership and oversight of all financial accounting functions.
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial reports as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP reporting standards.
  • Experience with SAP implementation (FI and CO) is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with POC accounting processes in a contract management context.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong inclination to engage in transactional functions while maintaining a global perspective.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • General understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive sector.

Additional Requirements:

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with variable hours based on business needs, including potential holiday and weekend work.

Travel Requirements:

Limited travel is expected, comprising less than 20% of the role, which may include both local and international trips.
