Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Financial Operations Specialist to contribute to our expanding corporate department. This role is essential in ensuring that all accounting requirements, from fundamental bookkeeping to external audit obligations, are fulfilled on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded appropriately.
  • Reconcile bank statements with bookkeeping ledgers.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage Department of Labor drawdowns.
  • Create and oversee budgets for all grant funding.
  • Compile and prepare Financial Statements.
  • Facilitate corporate and operational audits with the Department of Labor.
  • Manage payroll and HR-related tasks.
  • Stay informed on state and local tax regulations.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments based on importance and deadlines.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
