Advanced Practice Provider in Gastroenterology and Hepatology

Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Location: AdventHealth Central Florida
Overview:
The APP, under the guidance of supervising physicians, is tasked with:
- Conducting thorough physical assessments of patients and managing treatment for gastrointestinal-related conditions.
- Ordering and interpreting necessary diagnostic evaluations, including laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Providing care for a wide range of digestive system disorders, including but not limited to GI bleeds, GERD, dysphagia, acute hepatitis, gallstone disease, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
- Monitoring patient progress and coordinating referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Exhibiting a compassionate and professional demeanor while pursuing personal and professional development.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, patients, and the community.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, and the public.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Nursing is required, with a preference for candidates possessing GI inpatient and outpatient experience.
Licensure and Certification:
Current and valid Florida APRN license, along with ANCC, NCCPA (or equivalent) certification, and current BLS certification.
