Role Overview: As a Tig Welder on the 2nd shift, you will play a vital role in the production of our high-quality products. This position involves welding various metal vessels using GTAW techniques, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts safely and efficiently.
- Perform welding tasks following established manufacturing protocols with minimal supervision.
- Conduct complete welding and finishing operations for unit repairs.
- Maintain accurate records including production travelers and material traceability.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any maintenance requirements.
- Assist new welders in developing their skills.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Participate in company-provided training to enhance job performance.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Welder Training Program.
- Proficient in all positions with GTAW.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding best practices and visual inspection techniques.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent movement including sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
- Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions.
- Repetitive hand movements during welding operations.
Professional Experience:
Candidates must successfully complete a welding test that includes specific bead and pipe welding tasks. The first week will involve qualification testing in a controlled environment.
