Role Overview

We invite you to join our expanding team of committed professionals who are focused on delivering outstanding design solutions for federal entities. As a project manager within Olsson's Federal division, you will oversee intricate and demanding projects in collaboration with various federal agencies, ensuring the successful delivery and completion of project objectives. This position entails engaging with key stakeholders, guiding multiple technical teams through the design process, and managing project finances. You may have the chance to work on diverse projects, including infrastructure developments such as child care facilities, barracks renovations, flood resilience initiatives, and recreational areas.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Formulate project scopes, timelines, and budgets while monitoring progress to ensure financial success and timely delivery.
  • Navigate complex contract negotiations.
  • Direct the implementation of project strategies by assembling and managing project teams, coordinating internal resources, and assigning responsibilities to align technical skills with project goals.
  • Track progress and evaluate project performance, ensuring deliverables adhere to established scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Manage change requests, apply risk management strategies, and implement measures to mitigate potential financial impacts on the project.
  • Facilitate thorough reviews of technical work to guarantee high-quality outputs and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and prioritize exceptional service to secure future opportunities.
  • Mentor team members on best practices in project management.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Over 8 years of project experience in the AEC sector, with a strong preference for federal project experience.
  • Proven project management experience encompassing scope, schedule, and budget oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
