Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient schedules, appointments, and waitlists, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with healthcare teams.
- Collect and process patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process payments, handle billing and insurance inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and effective communication, resolving any issues that may impact patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
