Aviation Maintenance Specialist

The Aviation Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting of aircraft to guarantee their airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting Aircraft Maintenance

Work Activities

  • Performs inspections and certifies aircraft at designated intervals as mandated by OEM and FAA regulations.
  • Diagnoses system failures and executes necessary corrective measures.
  • Adheres to Service Bulletins, Instructions, and Airworthiness Directives as specified.
  • Provides oversight and evaluates maintenance conducted by FAA-certified and non-certified personnel.

Required Qualifications

Education: Completion of a standard high school education or equivalent AND two years of experience in roles directly associated with aircraft maintenance.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A & P License, and a valid State driver's license are mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proficient understanding of aircraft sheet metal repair, instrument, electronic and electrical testing equipment, as well as government regulations for federal contractors and FAA maintenance protocols.

Physical Requirements

The individual must occasionally lift and/or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment

The individual is frequently exposed to moving mechanical components, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work setting is typically moderate.
