Position Summary:


The Head of Engineering and Maintenance Operations will be tasked with managing the daily functions of the engineering division within our cutting-edge aircraft maintenance facility.

This pivotal leadership role demands exceptional management capabilities to guarantee the efficient operation of engineering tasks while focusing on the maintenance of critical equipment.

By employing industry best practices and methodologies, the Head will incorporate expert technical advice into engineering projects, covering safety assessments, repairs, and maintenance protocols for all company equipment.

This position is hands-on and necessitates comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance standards, base maintenance protocols, and practical experience in a workshop environment.

Core Responsibilities:
Direct and manage all engineering and maintenance activities at our aviation base maintenance facility.

Ensure adherence to EASA Part M regulations concerning aircraft maintenance, including the formulation and execution of maintenance programs.

Offer practical support and direction to maintenance teams, upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Collaborate with engineering teams to devise innovative solutions and enhancements to maintenance processes and protocols.

Manage and optimize resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to achieve operational goals and deadlines.

Engage with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Establish and maintain robust relationships with aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers to facilitate maintenance operations.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives to boost operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Guide and develop team members, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth.

Act as a primary contact for technical inquiries, troubleshooting, and resolution of maintenance-related challenges.

Preferred Candidate Profile:
Form 4 holder or aspiring to achieve Form 4 holder status in this role. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with EASA Part M regulations for aircraft maintenance. Prior experience as an engineer or time served on the shop floor in an aviation maintenance setting. Strong foundational knowledge and experience in base maintenance, particularly with narrow-body aircraft. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead by example. Proven history of delivering results and achieving operational excellence.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred). Relevant certifications or licenses in aircraft maintenance and engineering.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation maintenance and engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
