Position SummaryThe Marketing and Audience Engagement Manager plays a crucial role in the strategic planning and implementation of innovative, data-driven marketing initiatives aimed at audience expansion and engagement. This position is part of the Audience Strategy & Growth team, focusing on broadening and diversifying TED's audience base, enhancing their engagement, and fostering loyalty. The role involves close collaboration with various teams across media, events, and business sectors to devise and implement marketing strategies that contribute to TED's revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy Development: Formulate and execute strategies to enhance awareness and engagement with key TED initiatives, including newsletters, podcasts, events, and Membership.
- Campaign Management: Create, disseminate, and implement comprehensive multi-channel campaign briefs tailored for audience growth.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to devise audience strategies that align with goals across awareness, engagement, retention, and conversion.
- External Partnerships: Identify opportunities to engage with external brands, content creators, and industry leaders to grow priority audience segments.
- Brand Cohesion: Support TED's overarching brand and marketing objectives by maintaining a unified approach across all initiatives.
- Creative Oversight: Provide strategic guidance and editorial oversight for copywriters, designers, and product teams to optimize campaigns in line with TED's marketing goals.
- Data Analysis: Analyze campaign performance, extract insights, and identify areas for improvement, sharing findings with relevant stakeholders.
- Audience Insights: Utilize analytics, survey feedback, and competitive insights to refine marketing strategies across channels.
- Data Management: Assist in the creation and refinement of data-driven audience personas and support the development of reporting structures.
- Project Management: Oversee the team's project timelines, campaign deliverables, and deadlines, ensuring smooth operations.
- Collaboration: Foster relationships and collaborations with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure campaign success.
- 5-7 years of experience in crafting and executing marketing strategies.
- Proven experience in developing comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Track record of improving user acquisition and engagement metrics.
- Understanding of audience segmentation and growth strategies.
- Familiarity with various digital marketing tools and project management software.
- Experience in creating and implementing SEO and SEM strategies to enhance web traffic and brand relevance.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance and translate data into actionable strategies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting strategies to stakeholders.
