Position Overview:
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior Manager - Audience Intelligence, Program Measurement & Strategy.

NYULH is in search of a seasoned and motivated professional to take on the role of Audience Intelligence (Senior Manager). This position will integrate into the Program Measurement and Strategy team within the broader Communications & Marketing (C&M) department. The successful candidate will spearhead a new level of understanding and data-driven intelligence concerning our key audiences.
Reporting directly to the Director of Integrated Media Strategy, this role will contribute to shaping various campaign strategies and plans by providing essential audience data, insights, and tailored activation approaches for specific platforms. This position is vital to NYULH's overarching strategic communication and marketing initiatives, delivering a profound understanding of the profiles of significant audiences to further NYULH's enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Audience Analysis and Segmentation:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing audience data, including available attributes, models, segmentation, and platform capabilities.
  • Analyze and synthesize data from diverse sources to construct holistic views of audiences, providing clear insights and recommendations aligned with NYULH's enterprise objectives.
  • Segment audiences to identify unique profiles that inform the design of effective digital marketing campaigns utilizing both internal and third-party marketing platforms.
  • Leverage audience data to pinpoint opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on custom research initiatives, establishing priority objectives and learning agendas for specific audience segments and persona development.
  • Manage and maintain departmental audience data profiles and personas across various communication and marketing campaigns.

Digital and Platform Strategy:

  • Contribute to the formulation of strategic, research-based, and data-driven strategies aimed at reaching physicians and prospective clients identified within available audience platforms.
  • Provide strategic and tactical support for direct channel and paid media campaigns by identifying relevant audiences and ensuring effective platform delivery.
  • Utilize a solid understanding of all marketing products and platforms for online acquisition to enhance growth.
  • Customize marketing cloud strategies and initiatives to effectively engage the intended audiences for each department and/or service line's specific requirements.
  • Develop journey maps for each audience segment across marketing channels and platforms.
  • Design and implement testing strategies to gain insights into audience behavior, including device usage, creative preferences, messaging preferences, and engagement drivers.
  • Support the sequencing and activation of digital marketing campaigns across multiple departments and service lines, identifying synergies and potential conflicts.
  • Utilize audience performance metrics and outcomes from various platforms to evaluate success across campaigns and inform existing and future strategies.
  • Support comprehensive SEO and SEM strategies to enhance online visibility, drive organic traffic, generate leads, and maximize ROI through paid search initiatives.
  • Drive overarching strategic marketing campaigns that will propel the growth of NYULH and support the achievement of institutional goals.
  • Stay informed about digital marketing audience trends, technology, and best practices in healthcare, adapting strategies to align with industry changes.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Engage in defining governance to ensure effective campaign management and sequencing.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to interpret test results and shape future strategies.
  • Work with the data architecture team to understand first-party data and available attributes for media activation and advanced modeling.
  • Partner with channel activation teams to identify optimal data sources across first-party, second-party, and third-party data that translate audience strategy into a consistent framework.
  • Collaborate with various C&M teams to build and activate custom audiences as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management, Strategy, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in Marketing Strategy. Experience in managing digital marketing campaigns, particularly utilizing third-party platforms, is essential. Proficiency in project management, communication tools, and data analysis is required, along with strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and the ability to cultivate strong relationships both internally and externally. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, capable of applying and communicating data-driven insights, as well as an understanding of graphic design and branding. Creative instincts and a willingness to embrace a test-and-learn approach are crucial. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to teach, motivate, and collaborate effectively, are expected. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in healthcare marketing strategy and digital innovation is preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $81,000 to $122,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on various factors, including experience, specialty, education, and institutional needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
