POSITION SUMMARY

This is an entry-level management role that aids in overseeing the daily functions within Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry, if applicable. The position collaborates with team members to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms and public areas. Conducts inspections and holds staff accountable for necessary corrective measures. This role also contributes to guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operational budget.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a related professional field.
OR

  • 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline; no prior work experience required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting Housekeeping Operations and Financial Management

  • Assists with all lost and found protocols.
  • Receives a list of rooms requiring immediate cleaning and potential check-outs to prepare work assignments.
  • Monitors inventory to ensure sufficient supplies are available.
  • Communicates guest room status to the Front Desk promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborates effectively with the Engineering department regarding guest room maintenance requirements.
  • Understands and adheres to loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all staff have the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Helps supervise an effective inspection program for all guest rooms and public areas.
  • Assists in managing linen inventory and guest supplies, and helps with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Assists in supervising Housekeeping and related areas in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
  • Observes service behaviors of staff and provides constructive feedback; continuously seeks to enhance service performance.

Delivering Outstanding Customer Service

  • Addresses guest issues and complaints, seeking supervisor assistance when necessary.
  • Participates in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction metrics with team members.
  • Sets a positive example for guest relations.
The hourly pay range for this position is $24.04 to $26.92.
