Crescent Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Training: Train and supervise all new employees, providing on-going training to current staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Scheduling and Staff Management: Responsible for the scheduling of staff, including contract labor, to meet operational needs within budget.
- Department Operations: Responsible for the daily opening of the housekeeping department, including the preparation of boards for room attendants and the distribution of jobs for house persons and supervisors.
- Quality Control: Inspect all VIP rooms to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Policy and Procedure: Responsible for the training of all housekeeping personnel on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining and updating the SDS book as necessary.
- Performance Management: Monitor room attendants and house persons' performance, providing organization, instruction, guidance, communication, counseling, and exercising good judgment to reinforce high standards of quality.
- Reporting and Communication: Ensure all jobs are completed within shift, prepare AM status reports, and thoroughly check assigned rooms for discrepancies.
- Tour of Duty: Make a tour of assigned areas, checking conditions of the floor, walls, vending areas, linen rooms, the status of supplies, and staff needs, reporting any deficiencies and assigning personnel to correct situations.
- Departure Report: Run departure reports and re-check all rooms showing up in your assigned section.
- Support and Collaboration: Provide assistance as requested to the Director of Housekeeping and write up repair work orders, immediately reporting any safety hazards for attention.
- Meal Breaks and Room Status: Monitor housekeeping meal breaks and enter room status to the computer as needed.
- Linen Room Security: Inspect and secure all linen rooms.
- Flexibility: Must be flexible enough to work any shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A minimum of 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related major, or 4 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor, or a combination of both experience and education.
