This entry-level management position supports the day-to-day activities in Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry. The successful candidate will work with employees to maintain guestrooms and public spaces, complete inspections, and hold team members accountable for corrective action. This role ensures guest and employee satisfaction while managing the operating budget.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing housekeeping operations and budgets.
- Obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned and prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
- Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
- Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work with the Engineering department on guest room maintenance needs.
- Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
- Assist in supervising an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces.
- Manage linen inventory and guest supplies, and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
- Supervise Housekeeping and related areas in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
- Observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback to individuals.
- Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance from a supervisor as necessary.
- Assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
- Set a positive example for guest relations.
Marriott offers a competitive hourly pay range of $24.04 to $26.92.
