Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and delivery of valuation engagements from proposal preparation to project completion. You will manage the strategy for business valuation assignments, develop business, and build a dynamic team of professionals to provide high-quality appraisals and consulting solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Valuation Market Strategy: Ensure execution and delivery of engagements, driving business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Build and Lead a Team: Within the initial 3 months, build a team of analysts and associates in the local market/region, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Supervise Workload and Review Work Product: Oversee the workload of Analysts and Associates on assigned engagements, ensuring quality and accuracy of work product.
  • Oversee Financial Analysis and Modeling: Review client financial statements, develop financial models, and ensure quality controls are adhered to in association with all work products.
  • Participate in Client Meetings: Engage in internal and external client meetings, building strong relationships with market and business line leaders to exchange best practices and accelerate innovation.
  • Client Development: Participate in client development efforts in the local market/region, driving business growth and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: In Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field, required.
  • Masters in Business Administration: Preferred.
  • Real Estate Valuation Experience: 8+ years of experience in real estate valuation, with a strong understanding of commercial real estate appraisal.
  • Leadership and Supervisory Experience: Strong leadership and supervisory experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Existing Client Relationships: Existing client relationships and in-depth knowledge of the local market, with a strong network of contacts and connections.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Active Certified General Appraiser License: Required.
  • MAI Designation or Candidate: Preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Travel: Must be able to travel to asset tours, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and via email, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Visual Acuity: Must have visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
