Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at First Class Air Support LLC. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic support to our employees and management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates for open positions, collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conduct or acquire pre-employment and employee eligibility verifications, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
  • Manage the FAA Drug & Alcohol program, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Monitor employee morale and company culture.
  • Maintain employee personnel records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 3-5 years human resources experience.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proven success working in an HR department.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Strong time management skills with a track record of consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
