Job Summary

Fort Mill is seeking an experienced Human Resource Assistant to provide administrative and HR support to our corporate office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a business office environment and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Generalist and management team
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews and maintaining employee records
  • Process incoming mail and create and distribute documents as needed
  • Provide customer service to employees and respond to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Set appointments and arrange meetings as required
  • Participate in the interview process and assist with the onboarding of new employees
  • Collect and maintain employment, tax, and E-Verify information
  • Ensure reference checks are completed and new employee files are prepared
  • Support the manager by scheduling appointments, conducting orientation, and maintaining records and information
  • Provide payroll information by collecting time and attendance records and submitting employee data to corporate
  • Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data in Home Base
  • Provide secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information
  • Organize workspace and maintain employee confidence by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Generalist or management team
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (preferred)
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or 2 years of experience in an office business setting
  • Prior experience in a human resource role is required
  • Strong verbal communication and interview skills
  • Reporting and resume vetting skills
  • Maintaining employee files and dependability
  • Organization, scheduling, and confidentiality skills
  • Independence, orienting employees, and teamwork skills
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
