We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Specialist II/Senior Administrative Specialist to join our team at TECO Energy. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a dynamic team.

Job Summary

The Administrative Specialist II/Senior Administrative Specialist will be responsible for providing administrative support to our leaders and teams. This includes performing a range of administrative duties, such as filing, ordering office supplies, distributing mail, photocopying/collating and assembling documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general office duties, including filing, ordering office supplies, distributing mail, photocopying/collating and assembling documents.
  • Perform invoice administration, including reviewing invoices, identifying accounting strings, and submitting invoices for timely payment.
  • Prepare meeting materials, post meeting follow-up items, and take minutes and attendance for department meetings.
  • Coordinate data collection and preparation of operating unit and monthly reports.
  • Coordinate with other support staff to plan department activities and events.
Senior Level Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Senior Administrative Specialist will also be responsible for:

  • Entry-level duties, plus additional responsibilities.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Computer skills, basic data entry and reporting skills.
  • Admin Spec II: 4 years of work experience consisting of reception, administrative functions, and/or customer service functions.
  • Senior Admin Spec: 2 years as an Administrative Specialist II or 6 years of related administrative experience.
  • Preferred: Associate Degree.
  • Preferred experience in a utility environment, strong verbal and written skills, Microsoft products, budgeting experience, multitasking, legal experience.
Working Conditions

This is a normal office environment.
