Onsite Technical Support Specialist

Job Overview:
The Onsite Technical Support Specialist will play a crucial role in the installation and technical assistance of integrated vacuum systems designed and manufactured by HIS Innovations Group. As part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of our advanced products, as well as the integration of third-party equipment into our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily assignments under the guidance of the lead technician or Field Service Engineer.
- Install and validate the functionality of customer equipment.
- Integrate third-party components into our comprehensive systems.
- Work collaboratively with team members and the Site Lead to meet customer deadlines.
- Coordinate with customers and engineering teams to manage installation tasks, service requirements, and equipment enhancement requests.
- Provide clear communication regarding customer inquiries, completed tasks, and necessary adjustments.
- Adhere to safety protocols established by both the customer and HIS Innovations Group.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain a friendly demeanor and be ready to assist customers with their needs.
- Be accessible to address any issues related to HIS Innovations Group.
- Document and relay customer concerns to the appropriate HIS team members.
- Unpack and inventory incoming shipments, tracking any shortages or required modifications.
- Communicate with the Field Service Lead regarding all assigned tasks, keeping the team updated on progress.
- Provide detailed descriptions of problems, including desired outcomes and potential solutions.
- Be prepared for overtime and travel as necessary.
- Proven ability to interpret detailed electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- Experience using hand tools and working safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting with the appropriate tools.
- Ability to follow written instructions accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail with effective multitasking capabilities.
- Customer service-oriented mindset that fosters loyalty and timely task completion.
- Collaboration skills essential for working with customers and HIS engineering teams.
- A proactive approach with a reputation for setting goals and achieving results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Engineering Technician Diploma/Certificate or High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- AS degree in a technical field, or relevant military or practical experience preferred.
- Experience in the installation of mechanical systems and electrical components, including reading layout drawings.
- Familiarity with vacuum pumps, frames, cleanroom equipment, tools, and procedures is advantageous.
- Military or relevant technical work experience will be considered.
- One year of experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Able to climb, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Able to carry tools and components weighing 30 pounds.
