Sourcing Strategy Lead

Position Overview:
The Sourcing Strategy Lead is accountable for crafting and implementing sourcing methodologies that align with Shuvel Digital's strategic objectives and operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in driving transformation and managing change through innovative sourcing practices and technology integration. The individual will produce high-quality deliverables and collaboratively devise vendor strategies to achieve cost efficiencies while ensuring advantageous contractual agreements that effectively mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to synchronize sourcing objectives, vendor selection, conduct market analysis, and enhance value through strategic insights.
- Oversee the preparation, distribution, and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Establish and nurture relationships with business units, team members, management, key stakeholders, and external partners.
- Collaborate with clients and various stakeholder groups to meet objectives and ensure alignment with Shuvel Digital's strategic direction.
- Enhance partner satisfaction by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and integrating them into the procurement processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define business unit requirements and develop Statements of Work.
- Manage a standardized competitive RFP process with consistent language and evaluation criteria.
- Facilitate smooth transitions with project management staff to ensure contracts are negotiated to meet favorable financial terms.
- Administer Non-Disclosure Agreements, Risk Assessments, and supplier due diligence in partnership with the Risk team.
- Assist contract teams in negotiating Master Service Agreements and other contractual documents.
- Support regular performance review meetings with suppliers and provide ongoing feedback on their performance.
- Analyze business unit needs to identify opportunities for leveraging, supplier recommendations, and acquisition planning.
- Advise business unit partners on sourcing strategies to optimize outcomes and support their strategic goals.
- Lead vendor selection processes, including conducting market assessments to identify potential suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance and delivery metrics to ensure quality and fairness in sourcing activities.
- Maintain comprehensive vendor documentation, including selection records, performance data, compliance metrics, and value capture results.
- Develop overarching strategies for product categories and explore new product options to drive Total Cost of Ownership savings.
- Provide insights by analyzing market data and monitoring relevant market trends.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
- Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing RFPs, RFIs, and Statements of Work.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, subcontract management, or procurement.
- Significant experience in managing vendor selection, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
- Advanced skills in translating business objectives into actionable IT capabilities.
- Experience in developing, negotiating, and managing service level agreements.
- Strong initiative and judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to manage conflicting requests and adapt to changing priorities in a team or independent environment.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying complex processes to senior leadership.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
- Proficient in data analytics and manipulation.
- Experience with change management and organizational transformation.
- Familiarity with strategic sourcing processes in the digital services sector.
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience.
