Position Overview:

The Sourcing Strategy Specialist is accountable for crafting and implementing sourcing methodologies that align with Shuvel Digital's strategic objectives and operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in driving transformative change and managing the adoption of innovative sourcing practices and technologies within the organization. The individual will produce high-quality deliverables and collaboratively devise vendor engagement strategies aimed at achieving cost efficiencies while ensuring advantageous contractual agreements that effectively mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to synchronize sourcing objectives, vendor selection, perform market analysis, and enhance value through strategic insights.
  • Oversee the preparation, distribution, and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Establish and nurture relationships with various business units, team members, management, key stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with clients and other relevant groups to fulfill objectives and ensure alignment with Shuvel Digital's strategic vision.
  • Enhance partner satisfaction by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and integrating them into the procurement processes.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to define business unit requirements and develop Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Administer a standardized competitive RFP process with consistent language and evaluation criteria.
  • Participate in collaborative transitions with project management staff to ensure contracts are negotiated effectively to meet financial targets.
  • Manage Non-Disclosure Agreements, Risk Assessments, and the supplier due diligence process in partnership with the Risk Management team.
  • Assist contract teams in negotiating Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and other relevant contracts.
  • Support periodic performance review meetings with suppliers.
  • Provide ongoing feedback regarding supplier performance.
  • Analyze business unit needs to identify opportunities for leveraging supplier recommendations and acquisition planning.
  • Consult with business unit partners to offer sourcing strategy guidance that maximizes favorable outcomes.
  • Lead vendor selection processes, including conducting market assessments to identify potential sources.
  • Gather and evaluate vendor performance data to ensure quality and fairness in sourcing activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive vendor documentation, including selection records, performance metrics, and compliance data.
  • Develop overarching strategies for product categories and explore new product options to drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings.
  • Provide market insights by analyzing data and monitoring relevant market trends.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, subcontract management, or procurement.
  • Significant experience in managing vendor selection, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
  • Advanced ability to translate business objectives into actionable IT capabilities.
  • Experience in developing, negotiating, and managing service level agreements.
  • Strong initiative and judgment in decision-making.
  • Proficient in resolving conflicting requests and managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in conveying complex processes to senior leadership.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Robust data analytics and manipulation capabilities.
  • Experience with change management and organizational transformation.
  • Familiarity with strategic sourcing procedures in the digital services sector.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience.
