Role Summary:

Objective Area Solutions is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Aviation Consultant who possesses extensive knowledge of FAA air traffic systems and enterprise architecture. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between FAA and DoD air traffic systems, including relevant policies and budgetary considerations. This part-time position demands a solid understanding of system modernization principles, change management, user engagement, and stakeholder collaboration.

Core Responsibilities:

FAA Systems Expertise and Enterprise Architecture

  • Deliver expert insights into FAA air traffic systems and the FAA's enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Analyze the integration and interaction between FAA and DoD air traffic systems, including associated policies and budgetary frameworks.

Modernization and Change Management

  • Grasp the principles of system modernization and its implications for change management, user engagement, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Guide technical teams through system analysis, design processes, action planning, and stakeholder collaboration to facilitate seamless transitions and modernizations.

Acquisition Strategy

  • Support acquisition strategy for air traffic systems throughout the AMS lifecycle.

Strategic Planning and Advisory

  • Offer strategic planning assistance to senior management, aiding in the development of overarching cloud strategies.
  • Work autonomously with senior client stakeholders to create strategic documents, presentations, and briefing materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with FAA air traffic systems and enterprise architecture.
  • In-depth understanding of FAA and DoD air traffic systems, policies, and budgetary requirements.
  • Proven track record in system modernization, change management, user engagement, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Experience in acquisition strategy for air traffic systems through the AMS lifecycle.

Work Conditions:

  • Main Office: Located in Vienna, VA
  • Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
  • Client Engagement: Based in Washington, DC
