Join Our Team as a Senior Director of Technical Program Management

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Technical Program Management to lead our Technical Program Delivery Office. As a key member of our Associate Experience Technology team, you will be responsible for driving the execution of critical business goals and building large-scale products and platforms.

About the Role:

  • Lead technical programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute on key strategic programs.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to provide valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisions.
  • Develop and lead a world-class team of technical program managers to power real-time, intelligent experiences for our customers and associates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering).
  • At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs.
  • Strong technical backgrounds with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle.
  • Experience building and leading a team of technical program managers.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
  • 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS.
  • 5+ years of experience building & leading experienced TPM teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs.
