Job Title: Senior Director of Technical Program Management

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director of Technical Program Management to lead our technical program delivery office. As a key member of our Associate Experience Technology team, you will be responsible for driving all intent for Associate Experiences highest priority initiatives and critical techwide programs.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute on key strategic programs, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve. This is a new organization within Associate Experience Technology, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with smart and passionate leaders to influence results and lead important and exciting projects from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical programs, identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle
  • Build and lead a world-class team of technical program managers to power real-time, intelligent experiences for our customers and associates
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior leadership, guiding technology-based decisions
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
  • 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS
  • 5+ years of building & leading experienced TPM team
  • 5+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery
  • 5+ years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impact
  • Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
  • MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience
