Geotechnical Engineering Associate

RCG Moody International Limited c/- Intertek is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Associate to contribute to our Building & Construction division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a range of geotechnical tasks, including field data collection and laboratory analysis.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports.
  • Evaluate project designs and specifications created by others.
  • Participate in client meetings on-site.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and project teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Conduct on-site assessments, collect samples, and perform specific tests.
  • Work in both field and laboratory settings regularly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Preferred experience of 1+ years in geotechnical engineering or materials testing - training will be provided.
  • EIT/FE certification is preferred, with the ability to obtain it within six months of employment.
  • Familiarity with engineering software (GeoStudio, APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, SLIDE, Settle3, and MSEW) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and interpersonal abilities are essential.
  • Capability to interpret and understand work plans is necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • Travel may be necessary up to 10% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and carry weights between 30 to 50 pounds occasionally, with additional requirements for specific tasks.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through auditory communication.
  • Occasional kneeling and squatting may be required.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional climbing may be necessary.
