Geotechnical Engineering Project Specialist I

Position Overview:
As a Geotechnical Project Professional I, you will play a vital role in our engineering projects, focusing on the preparation of geotechnical documentation, including comprehensive analyses and recommendations while ensuring adherence to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage primarily in the development of geotechnical reports, emphasizing analytical assessments and actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee construction materials testing (CMT) initiatives, including daily report evaluations, issue resolution, and training of field personnel on assigned projects.
  • Draft both geotechnical and CMT proposals, manage project financials, and prepare necessary change orders and invoices.
  • Additional responsibilities may involve assisting with or executing the following tasks with minimal supervision:
    • Prepare drilling documentation and secure utility clearances.
    • Conduct research on regional geological history.
    • Supervise field operations conducted by drilling and test pit teams and assist with access challenges.
    • Classify soil samples and designate laboratory testing protocols.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory; a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Certifications for all testing types performed are necessary, in accordance with the Technician Certification and Pay Policy.
  • A valid driver's license is required if driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary.
