Overview:
Engage in a variety of compelling projects that encompass infrastructure, industrial, and commercial engineering, as well as unique engineering challenges.

This position will primarily focus on overseeing geotechnical initiatives throughout the state, ensuring high-quality outcomes for diverse clients.

Most site assessments can be accomplished within a single day, although occasional overnight travel may be necessary. A company vehicle may be provided, or personal vehicle use can be reimbursed.

This role is based in our current office but will transition to a new corporate location in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and conduct field investigations, engineering analyses, and the development of design plans and specifications. This includes observation, inspection, and the preparation of comprehensive reports related to the services rendered.

Execute geotechnical explorations, conduct soils and materials testing, and maintain laboratory quality standards.

Foster client relationships to generate new business opportunities by delivering exceptional customer service and responsiveness. Assist in the planning and execution of subsurface investigation programs, coordinate utility inspections, and develop designs for earth embankments, retaining structures, anchoring systems, deep foundations, and slope stability analyses.

Review construction drawings to ensure compliance with established plans and specifications.
Prepare project proposals and cost estimates, monitor project progress and budgets, and recommend necessary adjustments.
Investigate and resolve design and construction challenges.
Assign and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports.
Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians.

Apply sound engineering principles while effectively communicating complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
- Experience in engineering consulting
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting engineering across various civil projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is mandatory
- Recent project management experience (3+ years)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to travel and navigate open terrain.
