Job Summary

BHI Energy is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our team in providing engineering and consulting services for various projects and clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical direction, leading safety efforts, and promoting quality monitoring and improvement on projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a safe work environment, promoting pre-task planning and continuous quality monitoring.
  • Provide technical direction for production and completion of projects, including conceptualizing initial designs and investigative approaches.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering work, including complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
  • Review projects requiring innovative investigation techniques and supervise the analysis and formulation of recommendations.
  • Lead technical training and make informed decisions based on state-of-the-art technology issues.
  • Provide leadership in marketing, sales, and business development.
  • Supervise less experienced engineers and technical support personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 8-11 years of related experience.
  • Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license; or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
