Financial Analyst for Revenue Integrity

Position Overview:

The University of California, Irvine Health is seeking a dedicated Revenue Integrity Service Line Analyst to join our team. This full-time position is focused on enhancing our revenue cycle operations through comprehensive financial analysis and data management.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Under the guidance of the Revenue Integrity Assistant Director, the analyst will conduct thorough data collection and generate detailed reports to support internal operations and organizational revenue cycle functions.
  2. Monitor and evaluate charge capture activities, collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless system interfaces and charge automation initiatives.
  3. Serve as the primary liaison for all institutional revenue generation related to diagnostic and therapy services, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  4. Perform extensive analysis, including benchmarking and performance improvement assessments, to identify opportunities for enhancing revenue cycle efficiency.
  5. Develop and maintain analytical reports that provide actionable insights to leadership, facilitating informed decision-making.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and implement strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in hospital billing systems and a solid understanding of third-party billing requirements.
  • Proficiency in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Diagnosis codes, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on delivering clear and concise information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • Familiarity with Tableau and SQL for data visualization and database management.
  • Relevant certifications such as CHP from AHIMA or CPC coding certification.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
