Position Overview:

The University of California, Irvine Health is seeking a dedicated Revenue Integrity Service Line Analyst to join our team. This full-time position is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue cycle operations.

Role Summary:

Under the guidance of the Revenue Integrity Assistant Director, the Revenue Integrity Service Line Analyst will engage in data collection, reporting, and thorough financial analysis to support the operational and revenue cycle functions of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and analyze charge capture activities and system interfaces.
  2. Assist in charge automation initiatives and collaborate with revenue cycle partners for system enhancements.
  3. Prepare standard and ad hoc reports, focusing on trends, benchmarks, and performance metrics.
  4. Act as the primary liaison for revenue generation across various diagnostic and therapy services.

Essential Functions:

The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive but highlight the core functions of the role:

  1. Develop and refine policies and procedures to ensure optimal utilization of systems.
  2. Generate analytical reports and descriptive summaries, maintaining data in accessible formats.
  3. Conduct extensive analyses, identifying performance improvement opportunities within revenue integrity functions.
  4. Monitor daily charge processing, addressing issues proactively.
  5. Participate in project planning for system upgrades, collaborating with team members to resolve project-related challenges.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ability to interpret governmental and commercial payer regulations.
  • Experience working with health system personnel at all levels.
  • Proficiency in report writing and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding systems.
  • Familiarity with hospital billing systems and third-party billing requirements.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Tableau and SQL.
  • Relevant certifications in coding or healthcare finance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
