The Construction Financial Specialist will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Collaborating with Project Managers to prepare and submit monthly billing statements using Sage 100.
  • Managing timelines for billing and associated documentation.
  • Coordinating with Contract Administration to ensure that approved Change Orders are processed and ready for billing.
  • Timely and efficiently entering and filing intercompany accounts receivable and payable invoices.
  • Resolving discrepancies in purchase orders in conjunction with the Purchasing Agent and updating POs as necessary.
  • Reconciling vendor statements and addressing discrepancies directly with vendors.
  • Depositing and applying accounts receivable cash receipts and assisting in collections.
  • Managing vendor and Angelus lien waivers/releases.
  • Onboarding new employees, ensuring they are enrolled in all company benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, etc.).
  • Processing payroll through Sage 100 and BBSI payroll systems.
  • Handling employee expense reimbursements.
  • Drafting credit applications for new vendors and entering new vendor information, ensuring W9 forms are collected.
  • Maintaining various Customer and Supplier Portals.
  • Performing additional general administrative and bookkeeping tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Construction Accounting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable & Payable.
  • 1 year of experience in Progress Billings.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage 100 Software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
