Role Overview: As a Retail Operations Leader, you will spearhead the operational strategies aimed at enhancing sales and profitability while safeguarding our assets. Your leadership will ensure a well-merchandised and adequately stocked store through effective inventory management processes. You will guide a team of proficient team members to provide an exceptional customer-centric shopping experience and deliver friendly customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing store workload efficiently.
  • Support the Store Manager in enforcing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and requirements.
  • Oversee the truck unloading and stocking processes to meet truck standards within budget.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage your team to meet their respective KPIs.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained and execute feature space and seasonal layouts effectively.
  • Manage inventory processes and merchandise operations, including Omni-channel initiatives.
  • Implement shrink and safety programs to protect store assets.
  • Train, observe, and coach team members to drive results; participate in performance management and support talent development.
  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as required.
  • Engage with customers, assisting them in locating products and providing effective solutions.
  • Participate in Omni-channel processes as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

Retail management leadership experience is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching are required.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.

Work Environment:

This role is set in a public retail store environment focused on customer service. All public areas are climate-controlled, though some stock rooms may not be. Outdoor work may be required for tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains equipment like glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
