Overview of the GTM Planning Infrastructure and Solutions Team

Our team operates within the GTM Strategy and Operations division, focused on refining and improving our business methodologies through innovative planning and analytical solutions. We develop and manage foundational models on Anaplan to support essential planning activities, including Territory Carving, Quota Setting, Headcount and Capacity Management, and Demand Planning. Our solutions are vital to Okta's success, acting as a catalyst to enhance the productivity of our operations team and streamline our planning workflows.

Role of the Senior Manager, GTM Planning Infrastructure and Solutions

We are in search of a highly proficient and driven Senior Manager to oversee our Planning Infrastructure and Solutions team. This position necessitates a combination of Anaplan expertise along with robust project management and leadership capabilities. The Senior Manager will be responsible for the development and upkeep of our Anaplan models, supervising a team of model builders, and ensuring the successful execution of our GTM planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide, mentor, and cultivate a team of Anaplan model builders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Supervise team workflows, ensuring timely project delivery that meets quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee and prioritize multiple projects, aligning them with business goals and timelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide consistent project updates. Formulate and implement project plans, including schedules, resource distribution, and risk management strategies.
  • Enhance and maintain existing Anaplan models for Territory Carving, Quota Setting, Headcount and Capacity Management, and Demand Planning. Ensure the technical soundness and scalability of Anaplan solutions.
  • Offer guidance and support to the team, addressing and resolving complex challenges.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to comprehend business requirements and translate them into effective Anaplan solutions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and automation within the Anaplan platform.
  • Promote the adoption of Anaplan throughout the organization, highlighting its value and advantages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Anaplan model development and management, with a preference for experience in SaaS software.
  • A minimum of 3+ years managing end-to-end project delivery.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with a history of successfully leading and executing complex projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a knack for motivating and developing team members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Anaplan certification and technical proficiency are highly desirable but not mandatory.
