Certified Physical Rehabilitation Specialist

Position Overview:
Insight Comprehensive Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Physical Rehabilitation Specialist to enhance our vibrant team. Immediate openings are available. The ideal candidate should be a proactive individual capable of working independently within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patients' conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Develop, modify, and assess a care plan tailored to identified issues, involving the patient and their family.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using standard physical rehabilitation techniques suitable for each patient's condition.
- Evaluate participants to assess mobility levels and other functional capabilities.
- Recommend and provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and ambulation support.
- Perform initial assessments and periodic re-evaluations (at least every six months) of all participants' physical conditions and functional statuses.
- Complete assessments prior to scheduled team meetings.
- Communicate any changes in participants' conditions to the team.
- Develop care plans, create treatment programs as necessary, set objectives, and deliver treatment.
- Document and sign treatments in participants' records, including progress notes.
- Assess the need for adaptive and durable medical equipment, specialized footwear, and prosthetics, making recommendations to the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Actively participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Attend staff meetings and engage in participant care planning.
- Report any changes in participant conditions to team members.
- Demonstrate active involvement in quality improvement processes.
Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must hold a license in the State of Michigan or be eligible for licensure according to state practice guidelines.
- A Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy is required; must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
- Current Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain it within 45 days of hire.
- Preferred prior experience in a residential care environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for effective patient care and documentation.
- Ability to multitask and transition smoothly between responsibilities.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Willingness to engage in goal-setting and educational activities for professional growth.
